Aminjikarai is one of the oldest localities in Chennai. It is located on the banks of the Cooum River. The arterial Poonamallee High Road runs through it. Aminjikarai was annexed to Madras District in the year 1946, and Arumbakkam and Anna Nagar were carved out of Aminjikarai in the \'50s and \'70s. The Nelson Manickam Road that traverses through Aminjikarai is an important commercial road in Chennai city. Land Marvel Commendable Lotus Project is located at Vellala Street, Aminjikarai, Chennai on the Northern Bank of Coovam River off Poonamallee High Road, well connected with all important places in the city.
