Vastu Homes in chennai

As part of our untiring efforts to give information on all topics related to home building under one roof, we are starting a series of posts aimed at giving an understanding the nuances of Vaasthu and how it can be used to build a home that is harmonious. Chennai builders for sure can take some valuable inputs from our series of posts on Vastu in building a harmonious home.

Before we begin to understand the elements of Vastu, there is a popular belief that equates Vastu with Feng Shui and calls Vastu the Indian equivalent of the Chinese Feng Shui. This belief is fundamentally flawed as Vastu deals more on how to build our dwelling place or business establishment, rather than Feng Shui’s methodology of how to place different crystals, fish tank, plants etc at our home or building.

In this post we shall understand the fundamentals of Vastu. It is an ancient science steeped in mythology that emphasizes the balancing of five elements of nature namely, fire, water, earth, air and space. Vastu Shahtra aims at teaching the individuals how to create a living or a work space that balances out the five elements and derives utmost benefits from the five elements to achieve a state of peace, perfect harmony, enhanced wealth, happiness and prosperity, all ultimately leading to a stress free life. Builders in Chennai have understood the importance of Vastu in recent years and have begun incorporating the basic principles of Vastu in their residential and commercial building plans and Raindrops Promoter is no exception in following the nuances of Vastu in their constructions.

Vastu is rightly the science of direction and each direction represents one of the five elements. Before studying the directions in detail, the five elements of nature have to be understood thoroughly.

Earth: One of the five elements of nature and the only element known to mankind to support like. It has gravity and strong magnetic fields that exert influence on the human body and mind.

Water: The second fundamental element of nature supports in sustaining life. More than 79% of our planet is covered with water and so is our body system which is 2/3rd fluid. During the planning stage Vastu emphasizes where the well, bore, overhead water tank and sumps should be located.

Fire: Fire is represented by Sun and without the source of light no life on earth can sustain. During the planning stage Vastu recommends where kitchen, fireplace, geyser etc, have to be built or fitted.

Air: It is also one of the elements that is essential for survival of life form. Vastu recommends where structures like windows, doors, ventilators, balconies etc have to be fitted. Generally Vastu also recommends how tall the roofing has to be to ensure proper air circulation inside the built structure.

Space: Space the final element of the five essential elements is knows no boundary and is infinite. Vastu recommends that the central place of the built structure has to be open space and light should enter without any hindrance.
